The MHA Legislative Affairs team provides the medium for members to have an educated voice before congress and administrative agencies on key issues. It accomplishes this by identifying federal and state government and agency activity in the alternate site sector, analyzing the effect of proposed legislation and regulation, assisting members in educating their respective government representatives and agency personnel, coordinating advocacy positions with trade associations, and maintaining a presence in the legislative community for the benefit of members.
